The shade I got was divine wine (10), which is described as such:
walk into any room feeling strong and self-assured. a deep burgundy red that conveys femininity and strong-willedness
It definitely sounds like the lipstick shade you want for times when you need a confidence booster!

Review
Packaging
It’s a pen-kind of applicator that requires you to click a button at the end in order to push the stick of balm out, which I guess is kind of fun until you might get a little tired of having to keep clicking.
I do like that it’s quite clean and easy to carry around though! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a lip product that you can easily put in your pockets and touch up on the go.
Colour
I’ve never really been a ‘red-lip’ kind of girl, because I feel that wearing a red lip makes me look really fierce. However, I do like burgundy red because I feel that it looks a lot less ‘loud’ than bright red, and conveys a certain feel of maturity – great for job interviews and presentations where you want to be viewed as confident but not too arrogant.
I also have to say that this lip balm has the BEST colour payoff I have ever seen. I thought the Innisfree one was the best that I would ever have, but this honestly takes the cake. In fact, I think the colour payoff is even better than that of some lipsticks I’ve used! It’s really so hard to believe that this is just a balm. It also applies smoothly with a very even colour application.
Staying power
This is one aspect that I would have to mark down, and it’s a pity because everything else about this product is perfect.
Even though this is a ‘tint’, I feel that the staying power is not as good as I had expected. It barely lasts through a meal, so you definitely have to touch up. I understand that it is probably more of a lip balm, but still, it is slightly disappointing.
Final Verdict
SGD42 is nowhere near budget-friendly for a lip product, but it is expected from a brand like shu uemura.
I do think the price is quite justified when you see how good the colour payoff is, but I would have definitely given this a higher rating if the staying power was better. I’m quite particular about it because a) tints are supposed to really stain your lips for the whole day, and b) I really hate having to touch up after eating because I’m so lazy.
If you are not very particular about staying power and would love the lovely colour payoff that comes with a really comfortable balm, then I would say that this is the product for you.
