Ever since I stopped using BB creams, I found it even more necessary to use concealer. This is because a lot of foundations‘ coverage (unfortunately) pales in comparison to that of BB creams.
I finally got around to (nearly) emptying my 3CE concealer and I considered repurchasing it. However, I couldn’t find the shade I wanted in Sephora, so I decided to try something new.
Product Description
Can’t seem to get the recommended 8 hours of sleep every night? It’s okay, with this concealer from The Saem, you can fake it till you make it!
This lightweight concealer smoothes over shadowy areas of the skin and blends out effortlessly, highlighting for a brighter complexion. It also wears well on blemishes and lasts throughout the day without sinking into fine lines and wrinkles (so you look like you’ve had enough caffeine to kick start your day). No more dreaded “you look tired” comments!

Swatches
I think they added 1.25 to the shades offered later on. I’m pretty glad that they did, because 01 would have been too light for me, and 1.5 a little too dark.

Review
Packaging
I thought my 3CE concealer was quite compact, until I saw this.
It really is very thin and small, but I think it’s most likely because there’s less product in this. Nothing very revolutionary or terrible about the packaging, just your ordinary concealer with a doe foot applicator.
Colour
1.25 is about the same as 3CE’s #001, and I have to say that I’m pretty lucky that I got this right even though I bought this online and had no way to swatch it.
The colour applies evenly, and you can see from the photos above that it does manage to colour-correct some of the redness from the bump.
Staying power
I knew this concealer’s staying power was no joke when I saw that at the end of the day, my under-eyes were brighter than the rest of my face ?
This concealer really holds up for as long as you need it to be, so you don’t have to worry about it oxidising or the constant need to touch up.
Final Verdict
In comparison to some other concealers I have used, I think this one from the SAEM has a lighter texture (my 3CE one was a little on the creamier/thicker side).
Its coverage is really quite good, so you don’t have to worry about your makeup not being able to cover your pimples and acne.
I enjoy using this a lot, but I am concerned that I’ll run out of it pretty soon because there is quite little product in it. It does help that this concealer is SO much cheaper than a lot of other concealers in the market, so you can definitely buy a few and stockpile for future usage.
