I’m not much of a highlighter and contour person because I’m more concerned about getting the same dewy skin that all LANEIGE ambassadors have.
However, I realised that COVER FX has a Custom Enhancer Drops which you can add to your foundation to make your skin look like it’s glowing. That sparked my interest in liquid highlighters, so I bought this CLIO Kill Cover Pro Artist Liquid when I was in Genting.

Ingredient List
A full ingredient list is not available online, but it claims to have been made from “50% Plant-Derived Moisturizing ingredients”. I think it means that it’s made from naturally-derived ingredients and will help to moisturize your skin, and not chemicals that will dry your skin out in the long run.
Review
The highlighter comes with a free blending puff for you to blend the highlighter on your skin, but I’m not a big fan of it because 1) it smells weird, 2) it doesn’t really do much. I prefer using my fingers or my brush because they both work much better.

Packaging
The tube and lid packaging looks pretty similar to most other CLIO products. It’s convenient to carry around if you want to touch up on the go (you most likely won’t need to, trust me), and has a small click sound when you cap it back so that you know you’ve capped it back properly – a feature which I really like.
Texture
It smells nice, and has a lovely texture as well. It’s not oily, and feels like something in between paint and cream. Apparently there is a silicon gel ingredient in the product, which helps it to spread very easily on skin. It is easy to blend if you don’t want a very intense look. The highlighter also doesn’t clog your pores at all, so you can freely use this on your oil-prone areas like the T-zone.
Colour payoff & intensity
It looks white in the photos, but this is actually a pink-based highlighter that is great for brightening dull skin. It doesn’t overly emphasize red spots despite its pink base. The payoff is fantastic (see photos above) – one swipe and you’ll get a lot of product and shimmer at one go. Not a fan of overly shimmery skin? You can always blend it out for a more even and subtle sheen.
I think the colour will be perfect for people with light to medium skin and warm skin undertones. If you have darker skin, you might find this highlighter looking too light and unnatural on you.
Staying power
A liquid highlighter will definitely last much longer than powder (based on personal experience), and a tip for making it last longer is by dusting translucent mineral powder on top, so that it locks your highlighter in without covering the glow. I
I’d say the glow can last about 8 hours plus without any touch ups, so you can be assured that your skin continues to glow throughout the day.
Final Verdict
I’m surprised that there are so few reviews and people raving about this product online, because it’s so easy and good to use. I’ve had people not really liking my Fenty Beauty highlighter result, but the glow from this highlighter is so natural that some people just asked if my skin was getting healthier (no mention of it being oily at all!) because I changed my skincare routine.
I like to use this on my cheekbones and nose bridge, and am going to try mixing this with my foundation soon to see if it works just like Cover FX’s. If it does, I think this would be a great dupe that you should definitely buy.
I’ve been told that this CLIO highlighter is not sold in Singapore’s retail stores (yet), so you will have to order this online if you want to get your hands on this.
