I bought the Innisfree Camellia Essential Hail Oil Serum because I needed a hair product to save my dry and frizzy hair in the unforgiving Korean summer weather.
I also had a prior good experience with other products in this line: the Camellia Essential Hair Treatment.
Let’s see how my experience with the Innisfree Camellia Essential Hair Oil Serum went!
Product description

Official Retail Price in Singapore: SGD 15
Ingredient list
Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Isododecane, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Glycolipids, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Fragrance
This is a rather short ingredient list, but Camellia Japonia Seed Oil still ranks considerably high, which is highly likely that there is a huge percentage of this moisture-boosting ingredient in this product.
Packaging
The hair serum’s packaging is straightforward. It looks pretty much like any other hair conditioner or shampoo.
Texture
The consistency is pretty much like hair conditioner. It feels pretty oily, but actually glides on very nicely on damp hair without feeling like you slicked a whole slab of butter on it.
Effectiveness
This product is to be used after showering and drying your hair. I’ve been using it for about one month, and can honestly see results from just my first usage.
The product promises to visibly improve hair health and shine, and it delivers as promised. After multiple dyeing, rebonding, and perming attempts, my hair has been looking extremely unhealthy. The hot, dry summer weather in Korea did not make it any better.
However, my hair felt a lot smoother and manageable after a few more applications, almost as good as it was a few years ago!
Final Verdict
The results are extremely convincing, and the price arguably very affordable as well, in comparison to counterparts from other brands. For example, L’Oreal Paris Oleo Therapy Perfecting Oil Essence (also 100ML) costs SGD23.05 on Zalora – almost double the price of this Innisfree hair serum!
This is definitely worth your buck, and if you enjoy using this product, do check out Innisfree’s other hair products in this Camellia range!
