NEOGEN Dermalogy White Truffle Ampoule Drop Mist review

There was a period of time I was seriously obsessed with moisturisers.

However, after going through countless disappointing ones, I realised that one of the best ways to keep my skin moisturised was actually using face mists. Face mists were actually very good at making sure my skin was hydrated even when I’m working in a dry office environment.

I actually got the NEOGEN Dermalogy White Truffle Ampoule Drop Mist together with the White Truffle Serum In Oil Drop in Olive Young. The latter is my favourite serum of all time, and unfortunately I finished it (!) before I could take a proper photo of it, so I’ll talk more about it the next time.

The good news is that the mist is also a lovely skincare product that I thought worth sharing, so here’s my review of it!

Product Description

Keep signs of aging at bay with this luxe white truffle-infused ampoule drop mist that not only blurs fine lines and balances skin’s oil-water ratio, but also protects skin from irritants.

Packaging

Most sprays and mists are made in sturdy but lightweight bottles that are easy to carry around. After all, they are meant to be used on the go, and NEOGEN’s White Truffle Ampoule Drop Mist is no exception.

The lid is secure enough that you don’t have to worry about potential leaks in your bag. I feel that this mist also has one of the best spray mechanisms that I’ve used. You just have to press down gently to get a fine and even mist on your skin.

Texture

As you can see in the photos, there is a thin yellow layer floating on top. That layer includes the star ingredient, white truffle oil! It is said to be antioxidant that comes with anti-ageing properties and help to fight skin pigmentation.

What really surprised me was that even though this mist contains a cocktail of oils, it actually doesn’t feel oily at all. It feels just like a refreshing spritz on your skin that you can easily pat in for quicker absorption. Makes for a nice pick-me-up whenever your skin feels tight – or simply when you are dozing off at work.

Effectiveness

I can’t say much about its anti-ageing properties because I’m not struggling with fine lines just yet. But I have to give this props for being one of the best face mists I’ve used for oily skin.

I used to avoid skincare products formulated with oil as much as possible for fear of breaking out.

These days, I’ve realised that strangely enough, some oil products have actually been working very well for my skin. Cleansing oils, for one, are super effective for double cleansing. I also found out that oil-based serums & mists actually ease oily complexions – amazing!

I especially enjoy using this when I can feel that my skin is feeling a little taut in the dry aircon air, and when I’m travelling to dry, wintry places where my skin needs extra TLC. It really hydrates my skin without causing breakouts in any climate, making this a super useful skincare product to have.

Final Verdict

While I’m still a bigger fan of the White Truffle Serum In Oil Drop, NEOGEN’s White Truffle Ampoule Drop Mist has also been a refreshing skincare product to use on the go.

I highly recommend this face mist for all skin types, even those with oily skin. It is a very versatile product that could potentially give you that desirable chok-chok skin that K-beauty advocates for.

Interesting to see that you liked both so much! I found both to be completely forgettable but then again, my skin is dehydrated. Just goes to show how important it is to get a range of opinions before spending that hard earned cash!

Do you have any other mists that you enjoyed? These days, I stick to just plain water sprays because of mist fatigue but I am always open to new recommendations.

I’ve used some Neogen products which I completely loved. I’m sure this mist would be no exception. Thanks for the review!
